We found the room large and clean with a pillow top comfortable mattress. It has a great location that is quiet with easy access. The knowledgeable and helpful owner provided an excellent recommendation of Martin's on Railroad Ave. for breakfast. A good value in the Berkshires that is close to the major attractions.

Usually motels are not very considerate and charge exorbitant cancellation fees but this owner is exceptionally good. We had to cancel our reservation one day in advance, because of some unexpected emergency and he was extremely understanding and did not charge us a dime. Lantern House Motel will certainly be the next place where we are going.

We recently stayed 2 nights here, and was pleasanty surprised to see how much has been done to the Motel. Especially the new T.V.'s and the furniture. This motel gets better all every year! A nice place to stay.

Best nights sleep had in a motel ever. Great place. Shower terrific. Only one thing would change. Raise the TV a little higher. The gazebo was such a nice place to set and relax. The owner was real friendly and accomadating.
A beautiful place. Would defintely go back.

We've come to Great Barrington several times, and the Lantern House is the best place we've found. The grounds are pleasant, the rooms large, and the pillow top beds excellent. On warm nights you can turn on the air conditioner or open windows for fresh mountain air--a rarity in motels these days!

We greatly enjoyed our stay! The best shower we have been in, even better than the high-class chain hotels! Plenty of hot water made it really enjoyable. The beds were very comfortable and I loved the real wood paneling, which made it feel very warm and cozy. The room was very spacious. Hasu is very helpful and we loved our stay here. I would recommend this to everyone.

Although my wife has already submitted a comment, I just wanted to extend my thanks as well. Before making our reservation a couple months ago, I did some price shopping and found the Lantern House to be the best deal by far in the area. And when we arrived I was very pleased (and impressed) to find both of our rooms to be large, clean, and comfortable. In my opinion, we received more than our money's worth; and, if we should return to the Berkshires in the future, the Lantern House Motel will be our first phone call!

Hasu was very accommodating when we had to change our plans and called us to confirm. He is very proud of all the positive renovations, showing us the new furniture and fabric selections. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds we have experienced in a long time. Great water pressure and loads of hot water. Even though it was the end of May, the weather was hot for the long weekend and the pool was clean and refreshing. GREAT VALUE, hope to visit again !!

Great price for clean and nicely decorated rooms, microwave and fridge were included in the room.
Close to the summer attractions like hiking, boating, and shopping in town. Lots of parking right next to the rooms.
Overall it was a pleasant, comfortable stay!

Always enjoy staying with this inn keeper (Hasu) when I make trips to the Berkshires during the Spring and Fall. The rooms have great amenities (refrigerator, microwave, etc), are very clean and reasonable.

FOR ALL TO READ: It is a very nice place to stay with all the amenities one would need. Hasu and his wife are most hospitable and will do all they can to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms are very clean,spacious and well decorated. For the price, there is no better to be found in the area. Sould we return to the area, The 'Lantern House' will surely be given prime consideration. Try out the 'Barrington Brewery' for lunch. Dan & Julie----Ventura, Calif.

Just stayed at your motel for the 3rd time, very pleased with your recent upgrades,room was great,bed very comfortable,kept clean, to an unusual standard.Rates still within a reasonable range, easy to get to from the interstate,minutes from everything.Highly recommend it.

I lived in Great Barrington for 10 years as an owner of a shop. I returned back to Boston a few years ago but made so many wonderful friends, including Hasu and his wife that when I come back to the Berkshires (Great Barrington) to visit my friends I always prefer to stay at the Lantern House. My niece and nephew recently got married and the wedding party stayed here. Very nice, accomodating, clean, convenient location, hospitable and I can go on and on. Love it. Looking forward to staying at Lantern House again in late May. We've stayed there a few times for the last few years and we have always enjoyed our stay there especially because my boys can walk to McDonalds and get something to eat late at night. The pillowtop beds are very comfy and I usually can't sleep at any hotel the first night, but here, I have no problem sleeping. Great location and great owners too.

I spent two weeks at the Lantern House Motel in April and found it very comfortable and the owner very accommodating. The location is excellent - within walking distance of a large grocery store ( Price Chopper), Friendly's restaurant, McDonalds, and several other eating places, and the price was very reasonable.
I felt safe and relaxed and would do it again.
